Title: Show Date on Echo Show
Post by: Jeff-Gaines on April 28, 2019, 08:25:01 am
I have a first generation Echo Show, all the online instructions say to change the clock I swipe down and choose "Home & Clock". I can't, it doesn't exist - is this a second generation screen? If so can my software be updated?
I'd just like to show the date AND time on the home screen but can't find a way to do it.

The Echo Show cannot show both the time and date on the home screen. The best you are going to get is the time only with the current temperature. Seems rather stupid that there's no option to show both the time and date. But that's Amazon's decision. I mean, really! It's a 7" screen that is always on and has space for a lot of info. Amazon needs to let the user make use of all that space to put whatever they want on it.

There is a new Echo show about to be released. According to the pictures on the Amazon UK site it will show both.

It's called the Echo Show 5 and costs £79.99 and will be released on the 26th June 2019.
