Title: echo auto using wifi??
Post by: pootler on January 15, 2022, 08:32:43 am
HI - me again :-)

I have an echo auto.

Can it be used with a wifi network instead of mobile data?

In the car I sometimes find the screen of my phone a bit small - especially for  things like navigation.

As a way of getting a bigger screen on my car I would like to install the alexa  app on my android 10'' tablet,

The tablet will connect to the alexa app using bluetooth for audio /calls, but use my mobile in hotspot mode for music/navigation data, etc.??

I know this can be done with a dot, but how about the echo?

Many Thanks

Keith

Echo Auto is a Bluetooth device. It does not have WiFi.

That’s why I use an Echo Input rather than an echo auto in my car. I connect it to the hotspot on my phone. Much more versatile
