I want one!!! But they are super expensive.
And this would be perfect with an Alexa Skill: "Alexa, Open Windows." Windows would be the name of the skill :)

Right, name skill Windows if you want to invite a lawsuit from Microsoft!

I would like glass that can shut out all light if I want it to, or anywhere in between open and closed.

Well, why not? The skill would actually be controlling physical windows, whereas Microsoft Windows is figurative.
But you're right, it is inviting a law suit. Might be interesting to see what would happen. Also Microsoft may lose or dilute its trademark if they try too hard to enforce their trademark on something that's an actual window.

By the way, I just received a quote for an adhesive smart glass film in a 60" x 36" size for $1700.
YIKES! And DOUBLE YIKES! That only covers 1/2 of my office window. I wonder if there are cheaper alternatives or technologies.

I said this completely as a corny joke.  Nevertheless, I have heard of plenty of trademark suits over what many of us would think are frivolous grounds.

BTW, I will not be buying any smart glass any time soon!
