Hello all! I need simple steps to set up my elderly mothers Echo Show 5. I bought one for her and one. Mine is already set up. She got Wi-Fi in order to use it and I am going to take it over there today. I want her to be able to use the features of calling, video calling, 911, drop in Please help! See does not have a computer nor a smartphone. How do I begin? I did already unregister her Echo Show from my Amazon account but aside from that I need steps! Thank you in advance!

You must have a smartphone to set up any Alexa/Echo device.
After it's set up, you no longer need the phone. That is, you can delete the Alexa app, throw the phone away in the trash, or whatever you want to do with the phone.

I would probably try and set it up on my WIFI, on My account, then move it to her home and reset WIFI on it... at least that seems plausible. But you may have to set it up at her home with her WIFI, but can still use your smart phone I think.... At least give it a try.
