Title: Amazon Echo calendar issues
Post by: chaoscreater on November 29, 2021, 04:20:36 am
I have 2 calendar related issues with my Echo.

First is that it reads calendar entries twice. I've already done the following:

1. open your Amazon Alexa app
2. click on “More” in the bottom right corner
3. click on “Settings”
4. click on “Notifications”
5. click on “Reminders”
6. click on “Announcement Count” under customize delivery
7. change to “1”

Unfortunately, I'm still getting double calendar announcements.

The 2nd issue is that my Echo only reads out calendar entries the day before, not on the same day. I'm using Google Calendar and I have my notification configured like this:

Echo will read out my calendar entry at 3:43pm, the day before this event occurs. However, on the day of this event at 10:05am, it doesn't read out the entry. If I ask "what's on my calendar today", it will read out this one. But I shouldn't have to ask to get reminded of my events for today.

When I did my test, I only had 1 calendar and 1 event. There are no duplicate events.

I've also tried everything suggested here too:
