Title: Why are so many "Greatest Hits" albums being taken off Amazon Music?
Post by: joe83170 on August 25, 2018, 10:53:30 pm
Most "Greatest Hits" albums are now unavailable for streaming. Anyone have an answer for this? It's not just hits albums either. I would like to know how the licensing works. They say millions of songs but keep taking them away. Amazon music just gets worse and worse. It says I can still access my uploaded songs free of charge when my current subscription ends in October, let's see if that actually happens. I doubt that i'll be able to, then I'll dump the echos and go back to streaming to my 2 bluetooth speakers from my PC. No voice control, which is nice when it works, but it's the only way to get what I want. It's like netflix, why would you pay for a service if you can't watch some of your favorite movies? I can do a better job curating playlists and knowing which albums people want to listen to.

I doubt there is anyone here who can give the exact reason.  most likely their license to play them has expired.  you might be able to find the individual songs in other albums.
