Because Amazon has temporarily stopped selling the Echo Remote, some people are capitalizing on the shortage.
There are several Echo Remotes being sold for up to $150 on Ebay. Kind of insane if you ask me. But I guess some people really want the remote.
Here's a screen shot of a few Echo Remotes currently on Ebay

Good for them; it's a free country to sell and buy at an agreed upon price!
Another example: WD has stopped selling their popular WDTV media players; for how long; no one knows. So, used ones are going for ridiculous prices (over $300) on eBay. Glad I have mine bought at on-sale prices when they were readily available. (These were $100 or less (on sale) items, except for the terrible and cheapest one called WD Play.)

Wow people must REALLY want that remote....
Thanks for the heads up on the WD Player! I have one that I paid $100 for a few years ago and I really don't use it anymore. Maybe I could get some/most of my money back out of it. ;D ;D

Use my WDTV every day for years for playing music and movies and find it more useful and more enjoyable than the Echo! If I had to give up one of them, the Echo goes first! How's that for a shocker! Maybe you ought to drop by the WD Community forum and find out how to use and enjoy yours more.

You can get them without the magnetic holder for $70.00

Does anyone know what kind of range the Echo has? I'm thinking if it can cover 60' I won't need the remote.
