Title: Echo as a speaker

Me and my son both have Amazon echo devices. Mine is registered to my Amazon account and his is registered to his Amazon account.

Can I link them so they will play the same music at the same time? (I want to use them as speakers in a large room)

The way to do that is to put them in a group together. However that requires them to be on the same account.

You could try running an audio cable between them (depending on the model), or try using bt...
