Hi I just purchased a new echo. When attempting to change the wake work in the amazon app, I don't see the option for 'computer', the only options I see are, echo, amazon and alexa.
I have attempted to restart the echo a couple of times and the 'computer' wake work option does not appear.
Any suggestion would be very appreciated as I'm a huge amazon and star trek fan.
Thank you!

firmware needs to be updated, give it a day or so and it will update itself or you can try to force an update

Is "computer" active/available everywhere? Are you in the USA?
-
Yes, i'm in the USA.
Could it be because I set alexa's voice to British English?
-
Humm, I don't know but you could always try an Am. voice and see if computer shows up. But I'm willing to bet it's the firmware that needs updated like renegade suggested.
-
gotta remember, the echo could have been in stock before the change took affect. just like a new computer which will have hours of updating that will need to be done after you first turn it on.
-
I will wait until tomorrow and see if it updates.
Thank you everyone!

It's available in the UK and has been for a little while. Everybody's right about the new Dot needing to update for it to appear as an option.

The ECHO sat muted overnight and the 'computer' wake option was available.
Thank you for your help.
