Title: Error 7:1:10:524:2
Post by: rc0108b on October 31, 2017, 07:28:47 pm
Recently wifi went down due to several power outages - reset the router and now when I try to connect Alexa back to wifi get the following error  "Your device was unable to connect to your WI-FI network. Please exit setup and try again. Visit help for troubleshooting tips. Error 7:1:10:524:2".  Went into router and verified wifi was set up correctly and password is correct. When I google this error, I get nothing. Any help would be much appreciated.

You don't mention which device you have.
Anywho, disconnect it for 5 minutes.  If the issue is not resolved, CALL customer support.  Phone # is at the top of this forum as a "stickie".

In my case I got this error in my echo when I have updated my router wifi password. I followed the setup instructions to connect Alexa again to the wifi network and bu it didn't ask me the new password. So I just forgot the network in the Echo and started the setup process again. This way Alexa asked me the network password and I was able to reconeect Alexa again without trouble.
