Title: Question about playing music
Post by: jwlv on March 06, 2015, 05:20:11 am
Is there a way to get Alexa to play music for, say 45 minutes, and then turn itself off?

I ask because I think it would be nice to fall asleep to some music. But I don't want the music to keep playing all night long. I've already tried saying things like "Alexa, play 80's music for 45 minutes" - it doesn't work.

For a specific time length of music: Try going to your Amazon Prime Music Library, click and drag the songs you'd like to hear to the play list area until you have enough to last for your time frame (say, 15 songs at approx. 3 mins. each for 45 mins. of music), then name the list and you can ask Alexa to play it any time you want. Also be sure to add any ideas for your Echo to the feedback area in the Echo App.

I've requested this feature thru Echo feedback in the app. If you haven't already, send it to them. My guess is the more requests they get the higher up on the list it goes.
