Title: what is needed for voice control of TV
Post by: Eugene on October 25, 2016, 08:16:15 pm
I need to know what is needed to use with my Echo to voice control the TV.
Specifics please as to brand and model numbers, like "Logitech harmony", etc.
I don't want to use a smart phone. . . .
TIA

You've answered your own question.  Amazon just announced the official integration of the Logitech Harmony with Alexa.

I just received an email from Logitech today:

"Now your Logitech Harmony remote works with Amazon Alexa. It's so easy to turn on the TV simply say “Alexa, Turn on the TV” and your TV and soundbar will come on. Of course you can start and stop Harmony Activities as well, you can say “Alexa, turn on Netflix.” All your entertainment is now a simple command away!"
