I ask her to " Tune in Classic fm" And invariably she responds "I cannot find Classic fm on Tune in" ...I am in the U K.
I can get from the Echo app. If it is the last station Ilistened to, she will reconnect and state the station name, but ask her to tune to it and the daft woman goes silly on me!
( you can see how I have personalised towards my devise )
But am I saying it wrong?

“Alexa, play Classic FM from TuneIn” is working for me in the UK. So does “Alexa, play Classic FM radio”.
-
You could also say, "Play station Classic FM on tunein" to cover all bases.
-
Better still, avoid Classic FM altogether. The ad breaks, repetitiveness and their habit of only playing "popular" bits of longer works drive me mad.
Try these US stations instead:
King FM
King FM Seattle Symphony Channel
All Classical Portland
WQXR
WCPE
Classical 24
... and many more if you check out the Classical genre TuneIn list in the Alexa app.

Another US classical station rated one of the best in US is KUSC.
Australia (ABC) has great classical stations, too.
-
I find that if you ask the question differently she sometimes gets it. I say play tunein classical fm and that worked. It worked for the BBC as well. Play tunein bbc radio two. Asking directly for bbc radio 2 with out tunein in front does not work, :) :) :)

Say to Alexa, "Alexa, ask Radioplayer to play Classic fm." It works for me! However, if you want to listen to a BBC programme, all you have to do is say, for example, "Alexa, play BBC Radio 4."
Hope this helps.

I'm rather impressed with KUSC. Thanks.

Nb... I seem to have solved the problem by installing the skill " Radio Player" . That has worked ok so far . Thanks for the replies.. I will check out the suggested stations.

still unable to access Classic FM
Technical support tells me that they are aware of the problem and are looking into it

Classic FM has its own skill now. Maybe try that.

Classic FM should now play on Global Player by default (Global is the company that owns Classic and many other independent stations).
-
Working for me.
“Alexa, play Classic FM.”
“Here’s Classic FM from Global player.”
-
This is because Classic FM is no longer on Tune In Radio. I spent 2 days trying to solve this issue and finally found the solution.
1. On the Alexa App, go to Settings - Music & Podcasts. If Global Player isn't listed in your list of services, add it by clicking on Link New Service.
2. Once you've installed Global Player Service, you must speak the request to play Classic FM exactly as follows:
"Alexa, Ask Global Player to play Classic FM"
Hope this helps.

I've had no problem with it? Always plays when I ask it to. I'm in the UK.

Same here. "Alexa play Classic FM" is all it takes.
