Amazon Echo Discussion / Re: Device dosn't support that

Do you have a "room"? set up for bedroom? If not, maybe that would be the way to get the bulbs to work. All the bulbs in my home are assigned to a room. If you have a bulb named room, and a room named room, the message you get is the one you have been getting. Maybe try grouping or assigning bulbs to rooms. Keep trying.

How do  connect it to Alexa etc. No paperwork with this or instructions to download an app. Has blutooth and zigbee. There is a mention of Hugh bridge on the box.

I don't use blutooth anywhere.

Amazon Echo Discussion / Play songs on both devices

I have an Echo in the bedroom, an Echo 4th Gen in the den. Often, when playing music, I can request a song in the bedroom Echo and it plays. If I request the same song on the Echo 4th Gen, I get the "must have Amazon Music Unlimited to play" message. Anyone tell me why it will play on one device but not the other?

I believe if you delete the bedroom group and reassemble it properly it would take care of that. Building up your "room" for bedroom, from scratch. Be careful not to include things you want controlled separately.

Hi. I have messed up a lightbulb called bedroom because that is where it is. In the App gosund I can control it. If  go to light bulbs in alexa, I can turn it on and off. If I say Alexa turn bedroom off, lexa says Bedroom dosn't support that. The mobile app will turn it on and off but the alexa ball dosn't acept it.

Amazon Echo Discussion / Drop in for dad in care center
« Last post by Sue Menke on April 26, 2021, 07:14:03 pm »
I set up an echo show for my dad. I can drop in on him easily however when my sister tries it says "not available"....or it drops in on my phone! He is blind and a bit forgetful so the drop in feature is amazing to check in on him!
I am assuming I set it up wrong but after hours of research can't figure it out. My mom would like to drop in from her ipad at home too....haven't even gone down that road yet....

The Alexa app for Windows is basically a replacement for Cortana. Or think of it as an Echo device that lives on your Windows computer.
