Title: Can't change the wake word

Hi, I try to change the wake word from Alexa to Echo. On the web, it says to ask directly to Alexa to change the wake word, but the response is to check in Help in the Alexa application. In the Alexa application, it says that the wake word(s) are loading... indefinitely. It can't find other wake words, like Echo. Is the Canadian version of Alexa is different than the US version? Thanks.

if it says to check help, then there is a good possibility you were using the wrong command.    which echo device?

I got the Echo Dot (with clock). In fact, I tried to change the wake word, not by a command, but with the Alexa mobile application. In settings, there is an option "Wake Word" and it shows "loading". Of course, when I go to that page, the page is empty. After a couple of minutes, there is a pop-up saying that it is unable to fetch the wake word, try again later... I tried many times (days) and this option does not work.

I was wondering if it is because I have the application for Alexa Canada or something else. Thank you.

(A wee bit of Canuck humour!)

Two suggestions I can think of are,

1. At the bottom of the Settings dropdown, Sign Out, then sign back in.

If that doesn't stop your WakeWord loading loop, try,

2. Uninstall the app from your phone, then reinstall it from the app store, then login again.

I really hope this helps you out.
