Amazon owns Echo/Alexa. Amazon owns Ring. So Ring doorbells work with Echo Show.
Wyze owns Wyze Doorbell. Google owns Nest Doorbell. Neither work with Echo Show. Any guesses why?

do you have wyze notifications turned in the phone settings?  also, I am not that familiar with the wyze app but check their app and see if you have notifications enable for it.

I have an Echo 8 and a Wyze Video Doorbell V2 - both at current firmware levels. My iPhone and Echo both react to doorbell rings and get notifications. However, while the iPhone gets motion alerts, the Echo does not show any motion notifications. Why not? Is there some special action that I need to do to link the Wyze motion alerts to my Amazon/Echo account? I can't imagine any technical/programming reason that any notification that the iPhone Wyze app gets can't be passed on to the Echo - either directly or indirectly. I do no want to use a facility such as IFTTT.

All my Zigbee devices are either on HUE or the troubling shades are now on a graywind supplied multi mode gateway supporting wireless protocol: 2.4G Wi-Fi, Zigbee, BLE, & Mesh.

After several months now without a single failure of any zigbee device linked through a separate hub to my echo plus I am now ready to call all the drop failures of direct connected devices to the echo build-in hub caused by the amazon side and hence gives me a degree of satisfaction to have found the route cause of my previous failures to keep my devices consistently operable.

what hub did you get?    I do not use the hub on the echo devices either.   I just make sure whatever smart device I get, it will work with wifi, ring or hue hubs.

Echo Technical Support / Re: Echo Dot 5th gen freezes at command

Thanks for responding.....yes, I usually wait about a minute with it unplugged.  I don't normally recycle the router....but tried that after your reply....still happened.

And yes...I checked the firmware.....

It's just odd because it doesn't happen every time.....it's usually once a day for sure, sometimes twice...and once it does it, and the light goes back out, then everything is fine....

I might just end up moving that one to a different location and bringing one of the gen 4 dots back into the bedroom.

moving to a different location could help.   Maybe for a test, move it to the same room as the router to make sure there is not a signal issue or swap it with another device that is not having problems

I've had that happen frequently, not on an Echo Dot, but on my Echo Auto. I've always chalked it up to a bad connection, either from the Echo Auto to my iPhone or from my iPhone to the cell tower. Same as you, it would clear itself up after a minute.

I have several Echo Dots and Dots with clock. It's never happened on my Dots. But I have very good WiFi throughout my house with many Google WiFi mesh network nodes.
