Title: Sound breaking up on my echo dot
Post by: Nickyd on March 04, 2018, 04:41:00 am
I hope someone can help please.
After a week or so , the Spotify connection to my echo dot v2 gets really bad. Kind of short pauses in the middle of songs , like breaking up.
I'm Bluetooth to my speaker.
Tried: reset speaker, switch on off dot, switch on off home WiFi and it doesn't help.
Only solution each time is to remove echo dot from Alexa, or a full reset of echo dot, then add it again.
After this all is great for a week, then I have the problem again.
Any ideas please, as otherwise I love my dot.!

Are you tapping off the audio from the Dot into another device?  If so, the plug on the Dot is very tight and it requires the jack uwire to be plugged into and out of the jack a few times to be sure the jack is plugged in fully and flush with the Dot plug.  If this is not your situation, then I would suspect the cable you are using between Dot and device and check that it is a stereo cable and that the wires in it are good.  Otherwise there is likely a problem with the device you are connecting to either via BT or wire.

BT signal between devices should be no more than 20 feet and unobstructed.
