I bought the new Echo Show 5 to use in place of my old clock/radio on the bedside table. Its primary function is as a clock, but if I set a sleep timer and ask Alexa to play Amazon Music, it switches to the artist/song screen (i turned lyrics off) and there is no clock visible. It seems there is plenty of room for one on the right. I've also tried asking her to switch to the clock display, which she does but then switches back after several seconds.
Is there a way to listen to music and see a clock at the same time?
Also, PLEASE give me a way to turn off the annoying try "Alexa ...." messages across the bottom. Maybe let me play music, display the clock and put the song title there instead?
