I just noticed this today. When I ask, "Alexa, who are you?" she replies:
"I'm Alexa and I'm designed around your voice. You can ask me to play music, awwnswer questions..."
I pretty sure that Alexa spoke "answer" with an American accent before.
Now when I ask, "Alexa, define answer" she does speak it with the correct American pronunciation.

I just tried it on a Dot. Same issue, but I don't want you to fret that the Red Coats are coming, so play simon says and use answer in your sentence. All is well.

She speaks to me in anormal American accent.
You may select the " British" accent, whatever that means.
What is a British accent?. Welsh, cockney, Irish etc? Still trying to work that out.
The redcoats are still under the delusion that standard English comes from Britain. Philadelphia I think!
