I think only the ring alarm system will detect the other sounds when linked to guard.

Amazon Echo Discussion / Re: How to command standby mode?
« Last post by renegade600 on August 14, 2021, 10:21:43 am »
It is normal to connect after being powered off.  It has to connect to your wifi, then has to connect to the cloud and who knows what else before going live.   There is no standby mode on alexa devices other than just waiting for the wake word.   No reason to power off at the end of the day.   Someone else will have to answer about power consumption.

Businesses that want to capitalize on the power of their mobile device need to understand the differences between mobile enterprise apps and simple, business-oriented apps by https://mlsdev.com. While many mobile enterprise services offer many of the same features and functionalities as other, more popular apps, it is important to make sure the one being selected is specifically designed to meet the specific needs of the organization. Enterprise mobile apps should help improve productivity, streamline workflow, and reduce costs. These are some of the reasons why businesses choose to have custom mobile apps developed for their enterprise cell phones instead of using more affordable third party solutions. It is important to note, though, that most third party mobile app development services offer both third party and custom apps at the same reasonable prices.

Amazon Echo Discussion / How to command standby mode?
« Last post by novetan on August 13, 2021, 10:36:13 am »
3 questions on Echo 4th gen.

1)   I just purchased an Echo 4th gen. I noticed when I powered up, it will take a while before Alexa can receive command. Is that normal?
2)   Is it good practice to turn off the main power at the end of the day? Is there a standby mode? If there is, what is the proper command? I say Alexa “standby”she dont understand.
3)   What is the power consumption in wattage when playing?

Amazon Echo Discussion / Why Echo 4th gen cannot play Spotify
« Last post by novetan on August 12, 2021, 05:22:22 am »
I'm from Singapore. I just bought a new Echo 4th gen and had it connected to Spotify. I'm very sure i got it correctly linked. But every time I asked Alexa to play Spotify it says "to listen to Spotify, go to your Laexa mobile app and link your account." I followed some articles I managed to pull out fr Google, uninstall and reinstall, both for Spotify and Alexa app. I even switch off and turn on again for the device and router. Nothing works.

Its so frustrating. How to get it works?

Echo Technical Support / Loosing connection with favorite radio station
« Last post by Sibylle on August 11, 2021, 07:50:42 pm »
Hello,
I’ve had Echo Studio for a few months. I use it to listen to my favorite radio station. Some day, the connection is great and then on others, the radio shuts off after various delays. I did not encounter this problem while listening to Amazon music (yet). I tried disconnecting and reconnecting Echo Studio. Any ideas about what the problem is?

Amazon Echo Discussion / Re: Echo Guard Mode does not detect security alarm

I don't know for sure, but Amazon says Alexa Echo Guard can "detect specific sounds you select, such as the sound of smoke and carbon monoxide alarms and glass breaking." It does not say anything about security alarms/sirens.

Amazon Echo Discussion / Echo Guard Mode does not detect security alarm
« Last post by Jamval on August 11, 2021, 03:05:00 pm »
I have tested the Alexa Echo Guard mode for glass break, smoke alarm, and security system alarm sounds.  It detected the sound of breaking glass and the sound of a battery operated smoke detector and sent my mobile phone an alert message.  But it did not react to the sound of my hard wired security system alarm which has a louder but different sound than a smoke detector.  Unfortunately I have 2 hard wired smoke detectors on my security system and echo did not react to that audible alarm which is louder than the battery operated smoke alarm.  Is it by design that Echo Guard does not react to a Security Break-in alarm?
