Title: Alexa Guard is no longer available in UK
Post by: jwlv on August 03, 2020, 09:58:10 pm
According to Forbes: https://www.forbes.com/sites/barrycollins/2020/08/01/amazon-pulls-brilliant-alexa-feature-in-uk-and-pays-out-users/

Alexa Guard is the cool feature that many people use to have Echo devices listen for breaking glass, alarm sounds, and randomly turn on/off lights to deter burglars. But this week Amazon pulled the service from all UK devices. And if you had it in service previously, Amazon is going to compensate you with a £10 Amazon gift card. If you didn't have it enabled before, you won't be receiving the gift card.

As for me, since I'm in the US, I won't be getting anything. But I'd prefer to keep using Alexa Guard than to get a small gift card.
