Title: Changing the name my echo calls me

How do I get my echo dot to acknowledge me by another name ?  Currently it hears my voice but calls me "Heather" and my name is Kim.

How does it call you a different name? LOL. My echo does not call me by my name. I googled how you can do that. Something about household profile and call settings. I don't have both, that's why. LOL.

DOT is calling you Heather for a reason.  Check your settings.  Which name is registered to your DOT?

FWIW....
My DOT doesn't call me by name either.  No smart devices or cell phone.

My Google Homes call me by my grandmother name because I said "Hey Google, call me Grammuffy"  ;D

cannot repeat what names my dot calls me :-P
