Title: forgot to reset Echo before selling
Post by: ellemgee on September 17, 2020, 10:13:52 pm
Hi there. I sold my Echo and remembered later that day that I hadn't reset it. I went on my Alexa app and deregistered the echo but I am wondering if the person has access to any of my information. I emailed them to tell them and they haven't answered me back.

Thank you for any insight. I am a senior and not too swift any more obviously.

There's no info they can get from your Echo. Before you de-registered it, they would not be able to set it up since it was still locked to your account. After you de-registered it, everything relating to you was removed from the Echo.

Thank you so much. I was actually more worried that they wouldn't be able to use it. So I am happy to hear that deregistering it did the trick. I really appreciate you replying. :-)
