Title: Bluetooth broadcasting from my Echo Dot to my Fire Stick
Post by: goldenshawwa on October 27, 2016, 03:58:26 am
My Echo Dot hasn't got the best speaker, so I thought I'd connect it to my Fire Stick via bluetooth and broadcast her through the stick and onto my lovely surround sound that's connected to it. However, when I connect the bluetooth it actually behaves the wrong way around. The Fire Stick broadcasts to the Echo Dot!

Does anyone know if there's a way to reverse this?

The fire stick can use Bluetooth devices (i.e. speakers, headphones, keyboards, etc) but cannot be used as a device itself - i.e. it cannot be used as a Bluetooth speaker.

If you have spare inputs on your surround sound, get a cheap bluetooth receiver and connect using that. They can be had for very little money on eBay.
