Title: Routine on 2 devices
Post by: karlfr on September 03, 2018, 05:41:26 pm
We have 3 echo dots. I have a routine set up as a door bell. When someone says to

Device 1: ‘Alexa, ring the bell’

Device 2: a notification is played

Any idea how I can also notify device 3 as well?

Any ideas would be great

Looks like you can only make ALexa say something from a specified Echo.

You can make it play music to a music group, though.

You add your echos to a group and then create a routine that plays music. Where you type in the kind of music, just add "On everywhere" or whatever your group's name is called. For instance, "Play Queen on everywhere" would play queen on my everywhere group.

I really need to be able to schedule announcements on a group of echos. I'm hoping that someone else figures out a way to do that.

Thanks,

Marty
