Title: How to query Echo device name?
Post by: Quckdraw on December 20, 2018, 06:34:25 am
I got a couple of Echos and lost control, what is echo 1, echo 2, echo 3 …

Is there a way to query the name of an echo device?

I tried several commands (like identify, what's your name) in English and German, bot none of them worked.

Is there a skill or command that identifies the device?

"Alexa, what is this device called?" appears to work for me.

Thank you Steven.
This was not understood by my German Alexa, but the translation "Alexa, wie heißt das Gerät?" finally worked.

Why not name them according to the room they are in then you can’t forget the name.
