Title: Voice commands to control tv mount
Post by: Hornnumb2 on April 06, 2024, 01:18:40 am
I have a rf powered tv mount that raises and lowers and ordered a BroadLink rmpro to use as a gateway but I can’t get Alexa to control it. The BroadLink app works fine but when Alexa is told she doesn’t know what to do. BroadLink skill is enabled and linked. Any suggestions or is there a better unit that would work? Thanks Michael

I played around with a Broadlink RM Pro a few years ago. From what I remember, you have to make a skill to make it more Alexa friendly. For the skill you have to use a trigger command, such as "raise the TV." And for the action, either turn on/off the specific switch that the Broadlink uses to raise your TV.

Could you recommend any other brand that might do what I want? Thanks

You might try Bond. It's way more expensive but the app is much easier to use.
