Title: Dot has lost the plot (and its wifi connection)
Post by: kenf on November 21, 2018, 09:21:54 am
Of the many Echoes in my house, the one on my desk has decided to forget how to talk to the wifi box, sitting three feet away from it.

Been busy, but odds are good this afternoon will free up, figure I should have a plan of things to try.

I figure the first is to try re-joining it to the wifi network.

Any other ideas?

Some suggestions here, including rebooting and resetting.

try a power cycle on the router and dot.  also try moving it another foot or two away just to see if it helps.  sometimes you can be too close.  I am not sure about the dot, but some devices recommend being 5 foot or more from the router.
