Title: Multiple list entries on separate lines
Post by: txakura on March 31, 2019, 05:53:12 pm
OK, so I'm new at this list business.  I have found that making our grocery list via Alexa is pretty smart, since we don't forget things.  Anyway.  If I want to have Alexa add multiple entries to the list, I can't just say, "Alexa add Spam, crackers and Mayonnaise to the Grocery List."  It will come out as one line: Spam crackers and mayonnaise.  What I would like, of course is for Alexa to recognize the separate entries and show Spam, Crackers and Mayonnaise on separate lines.  Is there any way to do this with speech?  I know I can do it by making entries via my tablet or computer, but when I think of items, I would much prefer to enter them immediately - preferably by just saying "Alexa..."

And BTW, reading those letters against a black (dark mode) background is a son-of-a-gun!

Say "Alexa, add to the shopping list", she will reply, "What do you want to add".  Say "Spam", she will reply "Do you want to add anything else".
Say "Crackers", she will reply as above, until you say "No".
This works in the UK, don't know about USA.

Thanks very much.  I'll post the results as soon as I need to add items again.
