Title: Streaming Music by Group?
Post by: ahogfan777 on June 15, 2015, 04:48:29 pm
This may be an "End User Error" but when I ask Alexa to play Coldplay (all you haters quiet now) for example it seems like it will only play a few songs then stop.  Roughly 4 or 5.  I checked the Amazon Music App on my computer and it lists 65 songs by them so I'm at a loss as to why the music would stop. It actually stops after a song ends so it's not a streaming issue.

What does it show if you look in the Amazon Music section of the Echo app?

Do you have another household profile linked with your Echo?
If you do, it could be currently looking at the wrong music library and you need to switch back to your profile ("Alexa, switch profile")

No other profile linked.  I will say that when I ask for a particular band to play the response is "Playing band X from Amazon Prime".  I made the assumption that this setup was similar to Apple and shared music across devices with a single app since Echo is on the same LAN.  The fix for me was to spend $25 for 250,000 song uploads to the cloud.
