Multiple Dots, one audio connection.
« on: October 25, 2016, 10:41:25 am »
Just purchased my first Dot and am VERY impressed. I'd like to directly connect a Dot in my media room to my whole-house audio amp via the 3.5mm jack and control that playback from any of the other dots I might have in my house. I think three Dot's will cover the main floor and work well, but will they know that only one is connected to a speaker and use it for playback?

As an aside, so far the Lutron Caseta lighting control is working far better than Apple's Homekit or Siri. Again, I'm very impressed and I only fired up my Dot late last night.

Thanks in advance!

At this time, you cannot command a Dot from another Dot. The Dot (or Echo) which hears the command will perform the task requested.
