Echo Across the Pond

Welcome to Echo Across the World.

As Amazon begins to rollout the Echo in UK, Germany, and other parts of the world there are going to be some unforeseen issues. There are several ways to find information and ask for assistance.

1. You can ask Amazon customer support. Amazon recommends using this link to phone an Amazon support rep: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/help/customer/contact-us -- click on the Amazon Devices and Kindle Apps button, then select Echo/Echo Dot.

2. You can reach Amazon by phone at Freephone (within the UK): 0800 496 1081
and International: +44 207 084 7911. This is not the direct line to Amazon Echo support. Once connected to an Amazon rep, you will have to be transferred to the Amazon Echo department.

3. You can ask for help in this forum. Sometimes a lot of common issues have already been discussed and resolved by other Echo users. And uncommon issues can be talked about with some of the experts that frequent this forum. Sometimes it takes a small group of people to put their heads together and find the solution to a problem.

A great example of how EchoTalk members have helped each other is the issue with the BT Home Hub Router.

EchoTalk members have discussed and solved the issue nearly a year ago before Amazon even thought about it.

Here is the thread if you're interested: http://www.echotalk.org/index.php/topic,279.0.html

After the official UK release, Amazon posted their official response regarding the BT Home Hub. See it here https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=202094190
