Amazon Dot defective
« on: July 04, 2016, 03:25:43 pm »
Just got my Amazon Dot, and having problems with manually adjusting the volume.  The volume control binds and does not turn smoothly.  Will probably have to return it and get another one.  Anyone else having this problem?

smooth sailing - no hesitations what so ever.  had to go check.  I never used the ring for volume control on the dot.   I have it connected to a bluetooth speaker and use volume control on it when adjusting manually.

Volume rings on my Echo and two Dots turn smoothly.  Whenever I have used them I never have turned them either too far from where they originally were.  I have no idea how far they turn either way, and don't want to find out.  I use voice control to adjust volume, and rarely turn the ring except for a minor adjustment of volume.

If yours does not turn smoothly, call Amazon and get it exchanged!

If you have difficulty turning the volume dial, it is most likely defective. It should turn smoothly and easily when working correctly.

I believe Amazon warrants all of their Echo devices for 1 year.
