Major Upgrade to Alexa Coming
« on: June 13, 2016, 04:13:19 pm »
I just read an article on MIT Technology Review (https://www.technologyreview.com/s/601654/amazon-working-on-making-alexa-recognize-your-emotions/) that indicated a major upgrade to Alexa is coming. Specifically, it mentioned that Alexa will recognize emotion in your voice so that "she" will recognize when you are getting upset/frustrated. The article also mentions that contextual conversations will also be supported.

that is something that is not needed.  They need to be working on voice recognition so we can control who accesses the echo and prevent false commands from sources like the tv.  .

It's all part of the same efforts.. Natural language,  natural speech,  etc..

Cheers,
