How do I send a message to Alexa (to speak) from a batch file.

As a part of my home automation I'd like to have Alexa "announce" things initiated from my computer.  It can be Alexa speaking, or it could be a mp3 or wav file being played doesn't matter.  I can handle the pc side (I use eventghost), but I have been unsuccessful in finding how something like this would be formatted to send to Alexa.  The last time I looked it seemed very difficult and you basically had to be in a position to write a skill in order to do this.

Is there a fairly simple way to do this?  Thanks for your help.

I cannot help but if you had not checked yet, eventghost has a forum  I found the following that might help or at least lead you to where you can find specific help.

I looked at that post.  It's mostly for going the other way.  Saying something to Alexa and then having EventGhost trigger an event.  I posted on that forum to see if anyone has done something similar to what I'm trying to do.
