Alexa bug just for Canadians! ;)

I just set up a new Echo Show 8 and set the language to "English (Canada)", even though I was warned it might not work correctly. But I thought, what could possibly go wrong? As it turns out, a lot! Basically most questions I asked were met with "Sorry I don't know that one", even for something simple like a recipe. As soon as I changed the language to "English (United States)", everything worked correctly. Ugh.

no bug, just not available.  a few years ago, I wanted alexa to have a british accent.   Though I got the accent, I lost a few features... And I had to know some differences in words, like flat for apartment, lift for elevator, and others.   after a few days decided I did not want the accent anymore.
