amazon will be having an alexa hardware event on Sept 24.   Wonder what new devices they will have this year.

Hmm, I wonder... Maybe a better version of the Alexa Frames (it never got out of the invite only phase), a new Echo Auto (one that works with CarPlay or Google Auto), or some new wearable tech?

New echo speakers maybe https://www.techradar.com/news/amazon-2020-hardware-event-new-echo-speakers-alexa-news-and-what-to-expect

that link really don't say anything about what will be announced.   Just guessing like everybody else who is interested  :-)

Looks like Amazon’s Ring division has an indoor flying drone security cam. I’d buy it just for the cool factor.

Right now it's just a prototype. It is expected to ship sometime in 2021.

think of the fun you can have with it if you have pets.   you can have fun  with them when not home.  Means more cat videos...

You are right, it is one of those devices that would be cool to have.  The only thing I would be worry about is it crashing into glass cabinets and aquariums.

Really nothing I would be interested in with the possible exception of the new Show 10.  With the newer processor that is supposed to help with voice commands, I might get it to replace the main show 5 in the living area.

I was hoping amazon would come out with a hub device where you can use voice without cloud access when the internet is down.

I am also disappointed with the mesh, could at least put alexa on it.   would help with the clutter of plugins with all the different devices people have these days.   I ran out of wall outlets and got as many power strips/surge protectors as I dare.

The little drone is too cool! Useless to me (Old people here all the time, The thing would never get a chance to fly around and check out stuff much...), but very neat little item. Maybe one day...

not sure how I feel about the new look of the echo speakers. The sphere looks a bit odd to me.
