I was just reading it now has amazon echo software installed.  seems to me you can make phone calls with it.  I also wonder how it will affect battery life.  I still think it looks like a transistor radio from the 70's.

$199 is a bit expensive for a doodle messenger.

I'd like to try the Voikee, a $19 device with amazon alexa features, and double as a PTT voice messager (http://voikee.com)
