Severe Weather Alerts
« on: March 05, 2020, 02:05:56 am »
To set up the feature say, “Alexa, tell me when there's a severe weather alert.” The next time there is a local severe weather warning, Alexa will let you know. If you find you don't like the alerts, you can turn them off by simply saying, “Alexa, turn off severe weather alerts.”

This has to be done at each Alexa enabled device you want to be notified by.

Thanks for the tip! 8)
Severe weather Alert routines have always been a big part of my Home Automation setup I even had voice anouncements from my PC though out the house. However since moving my setup to a Pi and intergrating Alexa I had forgotten the anouncements part.  ::) ::)
With Severe weather occurring more often now (or so it seems) it is nice to have my voice early warning back!
