Got my Dot today

The Dot arrived today. It wasn't due until May 4th but I got it early I guess. its small for sure, and powered via USB so thats nice. It will play music and act like a normal Echo without pairing it to a Bluetooth speaker or having to use the 3.5mm aux out. The sound is very tinny though. But still good for timers and news in the kitchen or alarms near a bed or background noise.

Yea mine came early too. For what it's worth, this affordable BT speaker is amazing for the price. I bought one. Look up reviews on YouTube. The battery lasts forever!!!

I would expect the Anker speaker to be worth the money.  Amazon is a major seller of Anker products; I have a few of their battery banks and USB charger stations.  They know battery management well, so a BT speaker that can play for 24 hours ought to hang in there even longer if connected to a Dot and used just periodically.  I looked at Amazon; they come in black, blue and red and there are even larger and smaller models.
