Unable to play a TuneIn radio
« on: August 16, 2019, 05:38:40 am »
I am trying to launch a specific TuneIn radio on my Echo device to no avail.
Latina : https://tunein.com/radio/Latina-990-s2469/
Vocally, Echo either does not understand or launches a different radio.
I tried through a routine but cannot find the right name to type that corresponds to that radio (tried, "Latina", "Radio Latina", "Latina radio")
Therefore my question is :
is there a trick/workaround to launch (vocally / routine /other) a specific TuneIn radio that has a confusing/complicated name to Alexa ?

Some radio stations, callsigns, or artist names are difficult for Alexa to understand. But Alexa can learn from you. So the best way to teach Alexa is to use the Alexa app. Tap the Play icon at the bottom, then Browse music, choose the service, and search for what you want. After you do this a few times Alexa should understand when you ask for it verbally.

Ok, I've launched my radio from the app like you suggested.
It's still not working if I try invoke it vocally afterwards.
Not sure how many times I would need to do it manually before Alexa actually "learns" it vocally.
I'm a bit skeptical on that method  ???

Email TuneIn at support@TuneIn.com.
I have written to them twice, they respond in 24 hours and figured it out both times!
