Interesting fact
« on: January 27, 2019, 08:51:44 pm »
I was just looking over the spam logs and noticed there are 3400 known spammers that have been caught in the spam filters since October. And in reviewing the new user logs, for every one legitimate new user there are 10 known spammers.

Spam must be big business for them to do it on a relatively large scale on a little forum like this. I must be in the wrong line of business.

If the spammers spent 10% of their efforts creating their own forums (or some other websites) instead of spamming, they'd probably make a lot more money.

The spammers who call our land line constantly (especially the ones from Microsoft Support}are a big PITA.

what I have been wonder is how many of the new users who have issues that are unsolvable are really from the competition.  their sole purpose is to  get those fake unsolvable problems in search results for those researching the echo.
