How to add an Alarm and a Sleep Timer to Routines
« on: November 17, 2018, 08:44:35 am »
I'm trying to set up a routine to do several functions but am stumped on how to set an alarm and a sleep timer.

What I'd like to do is create a Routine to do the following:

Alexa, Turn out the light <- got that
Alexa, Play the Rolling Stones on Amazon <- got that
Alexa, Set an alarm for 5:30 AM <- How do you do this
Alexa, Set a Sleep Timer for an hour and a half <- How do you do this

These all work by themselves using voice commands but there doesn't seem to be any way to enter a voice command directly or set a timer. When you go to Actions there are only eight choices which do not seem to include a timer?

You can't set an alarm in a Routine but you should be able to set a sleep timer. It isn't actually an option on its own but recently the option to set the duration for the Music option was added which will do what you want.
