Alexa offered me Brief Mode this morning. Has it finally arrived here for everyone else?

That sounds promising  :D

Just for information, Brief Mode can be turned on/off in Settings > Alexa Account > Alexa Voice Responses.

On mine, Settings > General > Alexa Voice Responses

On my iPhone the setting is also hidden away under "About", not the first place I would have looked. I suspect that this is a bug, as "About" on my iPad has the expected version history etc. I think the Alexa menus need to be simplified and made more intuitive!

Yes, has for me too, although I'm not exactly sure what responses I will receive from Alexa....

A very subtle two-note chime.

Sorry, I didn't make myself clear - I understood that Alexa would respond with a chime rather than words, but at the moment requests to my Echo are still receiving voice responses, even if it is something that doesn't require that - a chime would be adequate.   Perhaps it will take some time to filter through.....

OK, understood. I have several TP-Link smart plugs around the house, and I now get the chime rather than "OK" when asking Alexa to "Turn on lounge lamp", for example.
