I can use the ALexa app and my iPhone ios 11 to message my wife. Echo Dot lights and message is played.  No problems!

My wife can use her iPhone to message me. The app seems to operate correctly, but app screen notes that message cannot be displayed.  The Echo lights up, but there is no message content.
