A bit irritated, hopefully I'm wrong

Terrible 1st post, I know! Believe me, I feel bad too, here's why:

I bought my first dot a bit before Christmas - and I loved it! In fact I bought a few more, devices to accompany them and not only gave them as gifts, but also told everyone (and their pets) about how great they are.

The best feature was that I could ask Alexa "play study music" and she would come up with a playlist during which I could say "save this song" and whatever song was playing was added to my library!

However, shortly after Christmas that command was no longer available!  Now I'm a prime member, nothing has changed in that regard. So, what gives? Was there some 2 week free trial that I didn't have to accept, authorize or even be aware of?

I called tech support and they said, "the command was removed to make it better."  Better?... It was removed and Prime's cost increased 20% to boot!  Am I missing something??

Not actually what I was asking about. I don't upload anything - I'm just asking Alexa to save a song she's already playing.  Is that the same? (not sarcasm!)

In a way, it is, since Amazon eliminated personal lists for those not paying for stepped up music features.  Remember, it's all about charging for unlimited online music at Amazon as it is at Apple, etc.  If you want unlimited online music, the best deal for this is at Spotify, which you can listen to via Alexa devices.

Also Amazon raised the Prime fee for people buying it on the monthly payment plan only.  Annual fee plan remains the same price.  The monthly plan was basically an interest free loan from Amazon, so they put an end to that with the increased monthly fee.
