Do you know Alexa devices have a bluetooth capability?
To find out how to use it, look in the below HELP link for Amazon, then click on Device Support, find your particular Alexa device and read the help about using bluetooth to send phone audio to Alexa.

Direct from itunes, no. You can play direct from Amazon music, or (on most devices) from a premium spotify account. Amazon wants to sell you their music, not allow you to play your own... If you want something else, either connect using bluetooth (meh) or setup a plex server or similar.
My Alexa stuff:
Echo Show, Echo Spot, 4 Echo Dots, Fire TV, Fire tablet,
Vobot Alarmclock, Logitech Harmony Hub, house full of Hue lights,
Ring 1+2 doorbells, Tado smart thermostat, Plex server.
