MyMediaAlexa Help
« on: December 03, 2017, 05:50:08 am »
I have just downloaded MyMedia for Alexa and I am in the process of installing it on my Server (Windows Server 2012 R2) and it just gets stuck at "Loading My Media for Alexa", any suggestions?

According to their website, Server 2012 R2 is supported, so what am I doing wrong?

Download for Windows 64-bit (v1.3.39.0)

Windows 8, Windows 10, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2016, Windows Server Essentials 2012, Windows Server Essentials 2016

Is it the installation script that's stuck? Or is that message in a web browser page?

If it's a browser page, then the service might have installed, but you have a problem accessing the service's web page. The service's interface is browser based.

Try using the Services capplet (it appears as a desktop app in Windows 10; I don't know where you find it in Server 2012). Look to see if a service called My Media for Alexa Service is started and running. If it is, then you can focus on why the browser can't access the MyMedia service.
