Echo 2 replacing my Echo 1st version

Echo 2 replacing my Echo 1st version

I currently have the original Echo and Echo Dot.  I am replacing them with the new Echo 2 and Dot 2.  Is there anything I should be aware of?  Do I just disconnect the old ones and connect the new ones?  Will all my current settings be there?

nothing will change.  everything is stored on the amazon cloud.

Why disconnect the old ones?

Just activate the new ones and scatter them throughout the house.

I don't think I'd get rid of the old ones,... they still work and are compatible with the new ones as well.
