Unable to conect to new wifi

My mother just got a new router and now her echo dot 2nd gen will not connect to the new wifi.

We have trued everything we can find.

Help she is getting VERY frustrated!

Seems obvious to me that the new router has a new SSID and a new wifi password. And maybe a different encryption method too if the old router is really old and didn't have WPA2/AES. If the old router is not that old, it may have WPA2/TKIP. TKIP is not compatible with AES.

the best way is to use the old ssid and key.  once you have it set up, reboot or unplug then restart all devices connected to it.

We'd rather not mess with the new router as none of us are that tech savvy

if you dont want to mess to the new router, then how do you expect to fix the issue.
